The worst road in Britain Or can you find worst
By TerryReynolds | Monday, August 08, 2011, 19:34
This is the worst A road in
the country from the Esso garage to Rudloe junction top of Box Hill ,the
road is subsiding in most places, cracking absolutely
disgusting,(WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME IT WAS INSPECTED) .
I pull a caravan all over Britain some roads are a bit rough but this takes the
biscuit. My action is to follow 1.Take photos of the full area of the A4 send
them to you 2. At the same time send to Corsham people page on the net
3. then wait for your
comments, if not satisfied send to ITV and BBC local news I could tell you that
this road has not been touched for the last 20 years plus .Only utilities
(Which by the way is not reinstating properly)
I also know that the excuse it's a trunk road and it's up to the road
agency responsibility.either way inspect the road and get it done before
it slides away You can't miss it drive down
Awaiting
for a positive answer

ReportThe road should never have been built - it just shows that man cannot defy nature and gravity.
Our ancestors located the Bath to London Road in a far better location and if it had not been for Brunel it would never have been moved.
PS - as you sign your mail 'Tax Payer' do you pay Road Tax on your Caravan?

ReportI imagine pulling a caravan is a hell of a challenge on that road - I've never thought of it from that perspective. It would be interesting to see photos - you don't think about the road as a whole, you only notice the lumps and bumps after a while. To see all the evidence mounted up would be useful. It would be good to know when it really was last inspected, where could we find that info?
