Gave them a second chance having been sworn at on the phone the first time we attempted to order. This time, very very rude when taking the order, just as before. We had six dishes and all tasted the same - of nothing. Will not ever use again I'm afraid.

ReportI fully agree with Jim 86. People need to get out more. I ordered a Lemon Chicken and a House Special Noodle and gave up on both. Very bland, quickly knocked together and clearly the owner is resting on his laurels. I am English and could honestly cook better. The worst Chinese that I have ever eaten. I should have taken my meal back and asked for a refund. Very annoyed! ;-( P.S. If the owner wants to talk to me about this review, he is most welcome to ring me on 07999 999001.

This Chinese takeaway offers all your favourite Cantonese and English meals. Hong Kong House is perfect if you have that craving for a quick takeaway, with plenty of special set dinners for one or more persons that taste great and are of value for money.
Probably the worst Chinese I've ever had! If people actually ventured out of Corsham for a change they would realise that there are much nicer places. People only eat there because the other Chinese is hidden away. I guess if it pleases what can only be described as the participants of Jeremy Kyle frequent Hong Kong House every Friday night for their weekly Chinese then they must be on to a winner there though. I did enjoy the can of Coke that I drank there though!!!
Whenever a Chinese takeaway is agreed on in our home for an evening meal, no one has to suggest Hong Kong House: it's the only place we go to when we want a tasty takeaway. It's always of the same high standard and although there's always that weird mushroom-y thing on the set menu which we never eat, the rest we can't get enough of. I've been going for years and my parents have been going there even before I was born. Great place.
I've been getting takeaways from Hong Kong House and the infamous Pak since I can remember. I LOVE this place!
You may get slightly worried at being shouted "Hong Kong House" at down the phone from Pak when he answers but dont be!
The food is not expensive at all in my opinion, generally about £12 for two meals and I have never had any problem with it! Added bonus is that with two meals they almost always through in free prawn crackers! and if you're buying more and very lucky a can of coke/ beer!!!
Delicious House has smaller portions and generally doesnt hold a candle to this place!

Expensive and poor.
Almost nothing vegetarian. I got a third of the way through my "vegetables in brown liquid with salt and thickener" before giving up, as it was totally inedible.
My other half described meaty noodle thing as unfulfilling and inferior.
The spring rolls were tolerable, if, well, empty.
Go to Delicious House. Cheaper, better and friendlier.

ReportEveryone who lives in Corsham loves Hong Kong House. The staff are friendly, the service is quick, the food is great and they’re the best Chinese takeaway in town. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for a Chinese takeaway. They’ve been an established business in Corsham for decades and their customer base is huge. I am never disappointed with a takeaway from Hong Kong House.
Who doesnt love Hong Kong House? They are legend in Corsham and have been an established and much loved business for goodness only knows how long over a decade at least. The staff are so friendly that they feel like family and the food is delicious and prepared quickly. I always feel like the quality of the food is not to be matched for miles and I will always go to Hong Kong House when I need a Chinese takeaway as so few other places around can compete. It is great to see such a warm and welcoming business in Corsham and I hope it is always there in the community because Corsham would never be the same without it.
