Residents of Corsham are lucky to have such a local facility - a lot of money has been invested in it since DCL took over -remember, it was not so long ago the facility was almost lost to us until DCL stepped in and saved it from closure! Classes and clubs are many and varied and often have waiting lists / to turn away people. The centre is used by many clubs and serves as a teaching pool for many local and Chippenham schools - once again it seems to have been offered up as a council savings measure - how can this be allowed to happen? Springfield Leaisure Centre seems to be a thriving business and a social hub for Corsham and the surrounding area. Try it for yourself!

ReportLately the Springfield Sports Centre looks a bit naff and crumbling. There’s always graffiti on the outside of it, there’s rarely any parking (especially when parents are picking up children from the Corsham School next door) and nothing seems to have changed in years and years. I think they’ve got new sports facilities, but from what I’ve heard they’re not the best. I’d rather go to Chippenham.
It may be a bit tatty round the edges but the leisure centre does the job and does it well. It's the closest place in Corsham that offers a swimming pool and gym equipment and it's pretty good. It's always a great place to take the kids in the holidays. I remember when I was younger using the pool at Springfield (and it hasn't changed in all that time!).
The leisure centre does need updating a little bit and the exterior looks dismal, but there is a lot on offer and it seems a very active place. It has been years since I have been there but it is very nice for the kids and there is a lot of parking around it. It is also close to the school which is great for the students who want to go and participate in any classes. I have only heard good things about the sessions that are run in the Springfield Sports Centre and would greatly like to take part in a few myself! It is a sweet little leisure centre that does need some money poured into it, but it gets the job done.
