Royal Wedding themed activities have been planned in Corsham town, capturing the excitement which has spread across the country as the 29th April approaches.

The Hare and Hounds Pub have a special ‘Kate and Wills Pie’ from Pieminister. Have you had a taste yet? “It’s steak, bacon, mushroom, onion and port pie. Lots of people have been asking for it,” said Haley Foster who runs the pub with her partner, “It’s been our guest pie for a month and we’ll keep selling it until just after the wedding.”

The Local Whitehall Garden Centre in Lacock has a number of Kate and Wills goodies (pictured), as well as Britain-themed gear, to get you in the mood. Fancy a commemorative plate or a tea towel?

A Mummer’s Play is being held at the Harp and Crown Inn in Gastard on 23rd April at 6.30pm, with a ‘topical’ slant on St George and the Dragon. “See the fair damsel Kate rescued from the clutches of the Elm Park Stone Mine Red Dragon, to be restored to her beloved William in time for their wedding six days later,” wrote a spokesperson for the event in the Gastard Village Newsletter.

Let’s not forget the approaching St George’s Day Race: will we see any Kate and Wills costumes? Let’s hope so.
