Box Common will once again play host to the annual Pig & Jig event this coming Saturday, July 4th.

The legendary event, which is organised and staffed by the Corsham School in conjunction with the Quarryman's Arms pub, is always regarded as one of the events of the year by many in the town and will once again feature the brilliant Electric Lobsters, who are returning to Box to provide their excellent brand of jigs and reels.

The Lobsters will be ably supported by local band Corinthian Casuals, who are on the bill at the event for the second year running. Speaking from their rehearsal rooms at the back of the Hong Kong House, Casuals drummer Tom Page said today: "It's a pleasure to be back at the Pig & Jig again, and myself and the boys are really looking forward to playing. We're warming up for the show with a private gig on Thursday, so we should be firing on all cylinders by the time we hit the stage on Saturday."

Tickets are £3 and available on the gate, which opens at 6.30pm.

Sounds like it's time for me to get my piggy jig on.

If the Corinthian Casuals are there then so am I - this is going to be wicked.

Went last year and had a great time - everyone goes and it's a great place to catch up with people. Plus, the food is good and the drink isn't too expensive either. Thanks for the info!
