Personalised potholes? Could it work for Corsham's roads?

Tired of potholes in some of Corsham’s roads after the chilly weather? Should we do what one German village has done and put these potholes up for sale?

Holes can be bought in Niederzimmern, near Leipzig, for €50 and the local authority will repair it and put a personal message on top.

Some of the potholes in the German village have been bought my local television channels and newspapers who want to advertise or promote their product.

One of user of the Corsham People mentioned the potholes in the roads around the Rudloe Estate. The road was full of cracks and badly needed repair.

Would you buy a pothole on this road if you had the option and if so, how much would you pay for it?

The real question is what kind of message would you want on your own personalised pothole?

Is it a bit of quirky fun or not your cup of tea?

If we were to follow the example of this village at least it might solve some of the problems of bumpy and uneven roads in the area.

Still, if you are stuck for a Mother’s Day gift, who wouldn’t want a pothole with their name on it? I’m tempted...

I would prefer flowers or chocolates!  What a strange idea.
