I was so excited when I read about the Corsham Market, then I realised it would be on a Tuesday, I work full-time so it will be like the Farmers Market on a Friday morning which I would like to go to but guess what I am working.  Why not put the Market on a Saturday combined with the Farmers Market and guess what people who work could attend and spend money!  We have a large military community - surely Corsham should not ignore these people many who have served in Afghanistan.

The Corsham Market sounds like it'll be brilliant, but I don't think me or the majority of people I know will be able to go. For those retired individuals in the community, I'm sure it's perfect, but for parents who have school runs in the morning and then a journey to work it won't be so easy.

That combined with many people in the area who have a long commute to work means that their 'early' is just a tad too early so they're missing out and you'd think they'd be the ones with the money to spend!

At least the Farmer's Market once a month on a Saturday will be easier to go to. It'd be great to buy some local produce instead of getting everything from the supermarket down the round.

It's great that the Corsham Market will be re-energised from this September. Following lots of consultation with people in the street and potential traders we thought Tuesday was the most popular day for a general market and is traditionally the market day in Corsham. There was also a limited availability of traders on a Saturday. Hopefully it will start early enough so early birds and people who go to work will be able to catch some bargains at the start of the day.

The Farmers Market once a month on a Saturday will also be great. We cannot merge this with a more general market as the Farmers market association is quite strict about this sort of thing but following the successful pilot in June this should be very popular.

There will also be some exciting one off markets starting with an Italian market on 30 October so hopefully Corsham will once again be able to proudly describe ityself as a 'Market Town'
