The Royal Oak was taken over recently and is doing well, but what’s the future for the popular public house?

Up for a game of darts or a bit of karaoke? Pop into the Royal Oak!
Maggie Evans took over the Royal Oak with her husband nine months ago and so far the tavern has seen the interior updated with numerous other changes on the way.
“We’ve started doing blues music,” said Mrs Evans, “We’ve done karaoke and we’re trying to do what people ask us for and we’ve got a disco on (which is really old fashioned) on Friday.”
The disco is taking place on the 26th and is free to attend.
“We’re hoping to do music in the car park in the summer because we’ve got a new beer garden,” continued Mrs Evans, speaking about future plans for the pub and what they’ve been up to so far, “We had a piano player in last night for charity; an elderly gentleman who plays the piano.”
But there’s much more on the cards such an open-mic-night coming up on Good Friday for charity.
“We’re having a darts tournament in May so we are trying to promote the pub and make it nice for the people.”
With its new look, lots of new events happening and a friendly atmosphere, the Royal Oak will no doubt continue to be at the heart of Corsham town and be a popular venue for those wanting a nice evening out.
What’s your take on the Royal Oak and do you pop in their often?
