A Casual Birthday For The Two Pigs

Corsham blues rock band Corinthian Casuals are set to
lead the birthday celebrations for the town’s popular Two Pigs pub over the
Bank Holiday weekend at the end of May.
The pub celebrates its twenty second birthday this year and
they have lined up the critically acclaimed young band, which consists of lead singer and
guitarist Stu Joslin, 21, guitarist Alex Mitchell, 21, bass guitarist John
Boddington, 22, and drummer Tom Page, 18, to return on Saturday May 29th
which means they will become the only band ever to play at the pub on a night
other than the regular Monday music night.
Joslin commented: “The Two Pigs is our
local and it means a hell of a lot to us to be asked to play for this historic
occasion. It’s always been our favourite live music pub to play in, and also as
music fans we’re lucky to have such a place that puts on so many great bands
right on our doorstep. So, we’d like to see as many Corsham folk as possible
there on the night to hopefully enjoy our music and to also raise a glass or
three to one of the finest pubs in the South West.”
On Monday 31st May, Midlands band .44 Pistol,
who bill their musical style as an interesting fusion of artists ranging as
wide as Mississippi Fred McTell and The White Stripes, will be continuing the
party where the Casuals left off.
Entry is free on both nights with the bands kicking off
at 9pm, and in a further birthday gesture all real ales will be priced at £2
for the entire weekend.

ReportI really want to go to this night! Take loads of photos! I love the Two Pigs with that relaxed atmosphere and of course the wonderfully talented Corinthian Casuals. It's been a while since I've seen them play - too long in fact!
