The National Trust is looking for volunteers, so if you‘ve got some spare time, why not drop in on their shop in Lacock and ask about it? An open day is being held on January 29 at the Abbey and Fox Talbot Museum.

A National Trust gardening volunteer gets to work alongside real experts and pick up tips for their own gardens, and the trust are also looking for people interested in cookery, art history and conservation to act as guides for its houses and gardens. You must enjoy meeting people and be fairly outgoing and able to work even just one day a month.

In these straightened times, volunteering is acknowledged as a great way to enhance your CV, keep your skills up to date and develop new ones. For more information, click here.
