Hi, can anyone tell me the story behind the clock face opposite The Two PIgs in Pickwick.
There is a stained glass clock face (showing the wrong time - but correct twice a day anyway) in the first floor wall facing the A4
I was born in Corsham and have lived here for quite a while but have only just recently noticed the clock face.
For those that can remember its where Simpkins (the bicycle repair) used to be

Isn't that the Masonic Lodge? Might it be something to do with that?

Report@cdjhunter gave an answer to your question via Twitter:
"That building used to be a bicycle and stagecoach repair shop, as the A4 was the main road between london and bath."
I had heard that the A4 was a main road for travel when doing a bit of reading on the Hare and Hounds pub. The Corsham Civic Society might also know a little bit about it too.
Hope that helped!
