Could Living in Corsham Mean You Live Longer?

A new study has shown that those living in rural locations
-
Is the country life the life for you?
live longer than those in more urban settings. Do you think this is the same
for those living in Corsham?
The Office For National Statistics looked at Britain over a
period of seven years until 2007 and it examined whether a "rural
idyll" - away from the noise and bustle of the city where it's less
crowded, there are more open and green spaces, less noise and less light pollution - could mean you live longer.
Life expectancy at birth according to the research improved when
living in rural settings like Corsham, are there any individuals within the
town who feel better having moved from a more urban setting to a more rural one
in the Cotswolds?
Or would you rather be in a city with easy access to a vast
variety of shops and cinemas? Is the countryside boring and have you gotten fed
up with the monotony of green fields, bored cows and an endless supply
of mud?
After living in more urban areas in the United Kingdom, I
much prefer Corsham! It's fresher, greener and everything is more laid back.
The people are friendly and when you pop into your local pub it feels like your
local pub. People say 'good morning' to you when you cross paths and that
doesn't happen everywhere, but what do you think?
Is country life the best kind of life?
Comments
I don't know whether the conclusions of this study are correct or not. What I do know is that the Office for National Statistics should not be wasting taxpayers money on such a pointless study. Is anybody really going to take such factors into account when making decisions about where they live? Even if they do I'm quite sure that people could deduce for themselves that rural living is healthier than living in the smoke. Hopefully some substantial cuts will now be made to the ONS budget.
