The Gastard Big Breakfast held in March in the Gastard village hall raised £342.00 for Gastard village hall funds.

Over seventy Big Breakfasts were served up during the morning of the 6th March, which is always a big community event supported by the locals from the village and in Corsham town. Did you attend the Gastard Big Breakfast or have you done so in the past? Let us know in the comment section below.

“As always,” wrote one of the organisers, Debbie Mitchell, in the Gastard Village Newsletter, “the Big Breakfast was not possible without our brilliant volunteers.”

The organisers of the Gastard Big Breakfast also wished to thank those who donated funds or items to help with the event: Mr Patel at Prospect Stores for the Sunday newspapers, Boyd’s Farm for the eggs, Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Morrisons for their donations towards the cost of the food, Artingstall’s Butchers for some of the bacon and also to Corsham Greengrocers for supplying tomatoes at a discount price.

“The raffle was well supported again this time,” added Mrs Mitchell, “with many wonderful prizes being donated by local stores and residents.” Up for grabs were vouchers from stores like the Hair Company and the Corsham Bookshop, to a lovely plant from Daisy Chain and a Relish & Pâté on a bottle tray supplied by the Corsham Deli.

Tell us what you thought of the event and share your support for the well-used and much-loved Gastard village hall below.
