Fly Tipping Problems in Corsham

Fly tipping has become a problem around Corsham’s country lanes. When I’ve been out walking I’ve seen numerous spots of fly tipping. Have you noticed the same problems?

Is fly-tipping a problem in your area of Corsham? What do you think of the issue?
The main bulk of waste along rural roadsides is usually fast food wrappers chucked from car windows, but I’ve seen an increase in the amount of household waste left near bridleways or country roads.
From burnt out and abandoned vans to tires and plastic garden furniture, there are a number of spots in the rural parts of Corsham’s surrounding villages, which have become fly tipping targets.
Has anyone else spotted this problem in Corsham? Do you know of any affordable skip services which people can use rather than dump their rubbish? Recommend them so we can add them to the Corsham People directory, or, if you have your own skip hire service, you can easily add your own business to the directory.

Is it laziness or do we need longer opening times for nearby recycling centres? Is it a lack of bin collections which causes people to leave their waste by roadsides rather than dispose of it responsibly? What do you think we should do about this issue – add your views below in the comment box.

That's awful! I really hope that's not the case. It does just seem to be laziness in my opinion but it's horrible to see, especially in those rural parts of Corsham which would otherwise be idyllic.

ReportIt may also be some less reputable rubbish collection companies dumping rather than using the recycling centres that they are charged for.
