Can your pooch be trusted off of the lead? What do you think of the Order around Box Recreation Ground?
“All dog owners should be aware that there is a Dog Control Order in force on the Recreation Ground requiring all dogs to be kept on leads,” said a spokesperson for the Box Parish Council.
Do you walk your dog at the Box Recreation Ground? Should we allow dogs to be let off their leads or should it be the responsibility of the dog owners to decide whether or not their pets can be trusted off their lead? What do you think?
“This Order was made, and is controlled, by Wiltshire Council and the Recreation Ground in Box is the only area in the County where this is applied,” added the Box Parish Council, “With the summer ahead, all dog owners are reminded to keep their dogs on the leads and to use the dog waste bins provided. Any reports of this Order being ignored will be reported to the Wiltshire Council Dog Warden and could result in very heavy fines.”
