A petition against town centre car park price rises is doing the rounds in Chippenham - is there anything similar in Corsham I wonder? I bet Sainsbury's in Chippenham has done well out of both out town's increased fees. What does an hour in Corsham cost?

It's about 30 pence to park (I think that was the amount it was put up?) and to be honest, it's easier to get those little things you might've got in Corsham, at the supermarket. I doubt the new ASDA down the road in Melksham helps!

In answer to Lois's question, yes, we did send a Corsham petition to Wiltshire Council. Their response was a little disappointing - you can see it on the Corsham Chamber blog at:

Where is this extra money we're paying for parking going?! A lot of the roads are just as bad as they've always been in Corsham: potholed and crumbling at the edges. Why isn't the Wiltshire Council doing something about it or at least making their system and what they spend money on more transparent?
