Has anyone else experienced petty theft recently in Corsham? We had two potted bay trees outside our front door (just off Bradford Road), and yesterday one was taken in broad daylight. What a sad state of affairs when things aren't safe on your own property.

That's awful - why would anyone do that? I thought Corsham was a nice place. I saw recently on this site that someone's car on Katherine Park was broken into and some electrical goods stolen. Such a shame. I hope they're returned in one piece - we can hope!

I know - I couldn't believe it! We only moved to Corsham in December, and it has always struck me as a very safe place, so I was very shocked and upset by what happened - especially in daylight and literally from right outside our front door. How awful about the car break in on Katherine Park too - it's just not what you expect. I'm not hopeful of the tree being returned. The police did suggest it may just be kids, but even so - it's quite a sad state of affairs.

Such a shame this happened. We also had someone on Twitter reply to this comment and they added: "Some friends in Katherine park have had table and chair set stolen from outside house on Monday."

Maybe it is a growing problem in the area?

That is so sad, and a worrying trend. I just think it's terrible that we aren't safe to leave things outside our properties anymore.... Maybe we need more bobbies on the beat?

Funnily enough, we had our child garden swing stolen on the friday 3rd August. Its an enclosed garden so they must have jumped over the wall. Its not small either! This was in Edridge place. Also on the same night in Hulbert close someone had forced their way into the back garden of a house and moved all the garden furniture around.

This is awful - what is the point?! You'd think that Corsham was a nice and quiet place.
