I have noticed that alot of footpaths around Corsham have been either overgrown so you cannot walk the path or closed. By closed I mean that the path running through the field has been fenced in and cattle or horses are in the field with electric fencing preventing anyone from walking. I am hoping this does not continue as we need our footpaths - surely there must be a law against the electric fencing at least!
This is all illegal. It is the duty of the owner of any field that has a public footpath running through it to maintain the footpath and allow the public to walk through it.

I've noticed a few on the edge of Neston near Gastard and also the popular dog-walking spot in Slaughterford. If you want to walk through you've got to navigate an electric fence and whilst walking two dogs it's near-impossible. Plus, when all of the dog-walking fields have cattle and sheep and horses in, where can we let the dogs off the lead so they can have a run?
