Post boxes in Neston and Corsham were blown up by fireworks which were placed inside the post boxes. The local police stated it was lucky that no one was hurt the evening when the explosions happened. Do you know something about what took place?

Pictured is a surviving post-box near to where the incident took place. Do know anything about the destruction of the post boxes in Neston?
On the 6th of November at around10.30pm, two Royal Mail post boxes in Lypiatt and Elley Green were “severely damaged” said the Corsham Police.
They believe the damage was caused by fireworks, as they stated on their Facebook page. They wrote on their wall: “Both resulted in doors being blown off and it was fortunate that no-one was injured.”
The damage would have happened after the Neston Firework Display – did you hear anything about it? The post inside the post boxes was also damaged, though one letter was reported to have been salvaged. The door of one of the post boxes was blown off due to the force of the fireworks, hitting a wall on the other side of the road.
How do you feel about the incident and did it happen on your street? Has anything happened like this on a previous fireworks night?
Did you see the incident or do you have any information relating to it? If so, please contact the Corsham Police via their page or on 0845 408 7000.
