Cirencester Town's one-goal win over Redditch last week finally saw the Centurions turn a promising performance into points – much to the relief of manager Brian Hughes.

The Centurions boss has bemoaned his side's failure to pick up the results their displays have deserved, but that all changed thanks to Wayne Turk's 86th minute winner.

Cirencester remain very much involved in a relegation fight, but last weekend's win has brought something of a feel-good factor back to the Corinium, according to boss Hughes.

High-flying AFC Totton promise a tough test today, but the Centurions head into the game at the Corinium Stadium in confident mood.

"We've played well in the last few games, but the difference last weekend was simple – we scored, and won the game," Hughes said.

"That means we've got out of the broken record of saying 'We played well, but came away with nothing'.

"It was vital for confidence, and all the lads came into training in the week feeling a bit better about themselves.

"As long as we stay positive then we have a chance – and hopefully other teams get dragged into it.

"Totton are a good side, they have been for a number of years, I'm not at all surprised at their position in the league."

Development squad goalkeeper Charles Steward is set to start for the Centurions as Mike Hedges is unavailable.

Chippenham again face a play-off contender when they visit sixth-placed Leamington, who are two places above the Bluebirds.

Adie Mings' threadbare squad was reduced further last week as striker Lewis Powell broke his leg and debutant goalkeeper Kevin Sawyer had to leave the field with a groin injury.

Captain Ashley Williams and vice-captain Scott Lye (both hamstring) and Nathan Rudge (knee) could also miss out.

Tommy Smith, on-loan from Salisbury, is likely to return between the sticks.

Chippenham (from): Smith, Williams, Casey, Lamb, Harvey, Rudge, Osman, Tindle, Randhawa, Lye, Gullick, Stearn, Gilroy, Griffin, Guthrie.

Frome Town have signed former Cheltenham forward Aaron Ledgister from Corsham ahead of their trip to Bashley, who are five points behind them in the table.

Bottom-of-the-table side Swindon Supermarine travel to Evesham.
