The Corsham Traffic Calming trial put in place next to the Methuen Hotel has already caused much debate in the town. Share your experiences of using that part of the road and tell us what you think of the scheme. We held a discussion over Twitter and on the Corsham People Facebook page to see what your views were. Here's what you said:

Jeff Hughes said: "It's just creating problems at the zebra crossing and backing up traffic on the roundabout. What is it with the council and traffic control? Leave it be!"

Sam Dodd added: "Seen quite a few near misses as well where people are trying to beat having to give way to traffic that has priority and almost hitting the cars the other end of the calming, so are actually causing people to go much faster through to make it in time!"

Carole Johnson said: "It's a disaster. The priority is in the wrong direction people ignore it! Take it away today! If they think there is a problem why don't they yellow cross hatch it where it is narrow?"

Leah Larter gave her opinion, and said: "Also the real problem is parking along Pound Pill near the school there should be double yellow lines all the way along!"

Danny Clenaghan said: "Agreed about Pound Pill, they should also do more slowing down traffic coming up and down Pound Pill by the railway. Twice the railway barriers have been crashed into. They should also stop the large commercial vehicles entering the town from Pound Pill."

Tina Masson said it the scheme was a "total nightmare" and that she "was held up there for over 15mins with traffic all backed up to the roundabout."

Join the discussion, submit your views, and tell the Corsham Town Council what you think should be addressed in the town. Do you know any trouble-spots in Corsham? What works and what doesn't? What have we got right in Corsham and where do we still need to focus on? Share your views below.

The trial made Corsham traffic 10 times worse than normal! Some days the traffic was backed right back past the health centre! Coupled with the temporary traffic lights in Pickwick my husband had to leave the house 10 minutes earlier than normal last week! Surely traffic that bad has a poor effect on the school run too, not just for parents who are stuck in it but also for people trying to cross roads too as with that much traffic it makes it difficult to see whats coming in the other direction. Please dont make it a permanent feature!

"If it is implemented it may cause a tiny inconvenience to some drivers on the odd occasion but looking at the bigger picture traffic calming can only help to make our town centre that little bit more civilised for everyone." Agree with this and the Bradford-on-Avon comment - wouldn't like to worry about that if I lived there.

At least we're not Bradford-on-Avon - the amount of massive lorries which get into trouble along those narrow roads are a nightmare. There's no stopping them going through that town though, though people have tried.

Looks like a complete mess. Traffic backing-up along the road and no-one seems to understand the priority. In one way it is working because I now drive down Valley Road and along Stokes Road to avoid it!

I have found the narrow path difficult to use, especially when meeting other people. I've seen many a parent struggle with a pushchair too. It's good to see that people are trying to find solutions to the problem - it's just a case of finding the right one.
