Tell me about Corsham

Good Afternoon!
I've just moved to town and thought I might join this group to get to know the town and it's people. I'm interested to find out what people love about the town - what are its best bits, what groups can I join? I'm 35 and fun-loving but also reflective. I want to know about live music events, open fields I can walk to and give some cows a good scratch, things of interest, people to meet for a pint and a chatter to talk about our days.
I'd be interested to know all about it.
what I am also interested to know is, having moved to my own wee cottage, having cleaned it, hoovered every nook and cranny - where are these spiders in my bath coming from??? (given I know they crawl back up the plug hole and I actually always rescue them - with long wooden spoon and a bucket and rubber gloves and hoof them out the window) but a spider a day is a bit much!
As you were!

Hello! Welcome to Corsham!
I feel Corsham is one of the most historical places in Wiltshire (it even has tunnels running under the town.). You're not far from Bath and the village of Lacock. You really need to see Corsham Court, it's amazing!
I think The Royal Oak along the highstreet is a great place for a drink and a natter. Personally if you're looking for a proper night out going to the surrounding towns or Bath is your best bet.
There's plenty of places to have a good walk around, Wiltshire is known for many fields to walk through.
It's that time of year again where you get huge spiders here there and everywhere! They're horrible :( The other day there was a massive one on my bedroom wall and ended up having to get a friend to remove it. So I can't really help you on the spider situation, they're just everywhere :P
