The nearby town of Bradford-on-Avon has much to see and do this summer, with walks along the canal, quirky shops and charming architecture. The town's Tithe Barn was built in the mid 14th century and has been used as a setting for several TV dramas. The canal has a number of boat trips available and proves a popular walking and cycling route. What's your favourite part about Bradford-on-Avon?
Lacock is well known for its part in the Harry Potter films and tourists in Hogwarts uniforms still visit to walk the cloisters of Lacock Abbey included in the film. Who is your favourite Harry Potter character and which parts of Lacock have you recognised from the film?
Corsham Court is a splendid manor to explore on the days it is open, but its vast grounds also prove popular for walkers. Vast open fields are dotted with lakes and ponds and much wildlife, making it the perfect picnic spot.
Castle Combe is a charming village, with its butterscotch coloured stone and woodland walks. The village has been used as a setting for numerous films due to its unchanged feel. The most recent filming done there was for the film Warhorse. Did you catch a glimpse of any of the stars, such as Benedict Cumberbatch, in their costumes?
