Repair work will commence on Corsham's St Bartholomew Church's spire next month, marking a significant milestone in the St Bart's Spire Appeal.

"Scaffolding will appear in March as we embark on the work to repair the spire and tower," said a spokesman for the Spire Appeal. "We haven't quite raised all the money but hope we will have done by September when the last bill comes in."

Which St Bart's Spire Appeal events have you been to? If you would like to donate funds to the appeal, visit the Corsham and Lacock Churches page. Also visit our directory to leave your thoughts on St Bart's Church and why it is special to you.

"We are looking forward to a concert on 18th February with the 'Lifted' Gospel choir from Bath. Tickets £6, available as usual from the Bookshop or on the door."

What church events are you looking forward to and where have you donated funds to the St Bart's Spire Appeal? In the past the church has held a Christmas Tree Competition, has had stalls at many events, and held summer fetes, to help raise money to repair the spire.

"Other events planned are a French breakfast in March and a Murder Mystery in April. Watch this space!"

There are also gifts in the church shop at the back of St Bartholomew's, offering another way to put money towards repairing the Corsham church's spire.
