The National Trust owns ninety properties in the village of Lacock, which is known for its near unchanged appearance and history.
The area is often used for filming, such as the recent Harry Potter films which included numerous locations in the village. Those select properties used in the films, often find they are paid an extra fee on top of the share which the National Trust splits with the village.
According to the BBC, a spokesperson said that the rent amount was reviewed every two years and this year, the rent would be increasing by about 10 per cent. Share your views about the increase in rent with us. What do you think?
"Set in rural Wiltshire, Lacock village is famous for its picturesque streets, historic buildings and its more recent role as a television and film location," states the National Trust on their website. How much would you pay to live in such a beautiful, rural and much loved location? Would the tourists get on your nerves?
