The Wiltshire Council recycling team were in Corsham town today from 10am to 2pm with the new recycling wheelie bin they're rolling out in September.

What do you think of the new blue-lidded wheelie bin?
"Your blue lidded bin is for plastic bottles and cardboard," said a spokeswoman for the Wiltshire Council, "Your bin will be collected once a fortnight."
You can put the following plastic bottles in your wheelie bin:
- Washing up bottles
- Milk bottles
- Fizzy drinks bottles
- Shampoo bottles and handwash bottles
- Cleaning product bottles, including bleach bottles
- Yoghurt drink bottles
You can also put cardboard in your wheelie bin, including:
- Cereal boxes, egg boxes (cardboard only) and food boxes
- Ready meal sleeves
- Corrugated cardboard
- Shredded paper
- Brown paper
- Greeting cards
"We've had a good turn-out this morning," said a spokeswoman for the Wiltshire Council. There was a lot of interest despite the rain but some residents did not welcome the rubbish collection changes.
The Wiltshire Council wrote on their website: "The new waste and recycling collection service will mean additional recycling services and fortnightly refuse collections for all residents."
There is also the chance to sign up for a non-chargeable garden waste collection service.

Can we get wheelie bins in slightly more interesting colours next time? Blue is a bit boring.
