The Hare and Hounds are National Champions

On Thursday 8th September, Hayley and Mark Foster, Licenses of the Hare and Hounds in Corsham, travelled to London for the Great British Pub Awards, held at the Hilton on Park Lane. Having already won the regional award for best leased/tennanted pub in the South West, they were automatically one of the five regional finalists in the running for the top prize. To their great delight, the couple were named the winning pub, and national champions for 2011. The win follows a spot in the final four of the BII Licensee of the year awards, earlier in the year. Hayley and Mark thank their team of loyal, hardworking staff for their part in the win.

I didn't know that there was all this stuff to do with pub awards and such. It's nice that a pub in Corsham is getting some recognition.
