Come September Corsham residents will have a new plastic bottle and cardboard recycling bin, but what are your thoughts? Do you bother to recycle plastic bottles and cardboard? Give us your views on the new Wiltshire Council recycling scheme and tell us if it will change your habits.

What do you think about the new recycling blue-lidded bins we'll be getting? Will this new bin stop you putting bottles and cardboard in your household rubbish wheelie bin?
In a recent newsletter, the Wiltshire Council revealed that, "All residents who already have a bin collection will receive a new blue lidded wheeled bin in September 2011. Those residents who have a bag collection at the moment will receive two new reusable bags for this service."
The plastic bottles and cardboard that Corsham residents will be able to recycle includes drinks bottles, cleaning bottles, shampoo bottles, egg boxes (cardboard only), cereal boxes, any greetings cards and corrugated cardboard.
The new blue lidded bin will be delivered to your house at least two weeks before the collection starts and a collection calendar will soon be distributed, detailing when the rubbish collection for the blue lidded bin is due. There is also the option to check online.
Not got space for your new bin? The council have asked Corsham people to contact their council to discuss the situation if they don't have space for their new bin.
What do you think of the scheme? Will it mean less trips to the dump for you? Tell us what you think.

Why blue lids? Can we get a nicer colour? What's wrong with purple?

ReportAbout time too! It's ridiculous it has taken them this long to accept cardboard and plastic.
