Town Council Chairman, Peter Anstey, said: "The Town Council is very proud of its Grant Awards scheme and the fact that it helps such a wide variety of local projects, particularly at a time when finding funding is so difficult."
Corsham Sixty Plus Club will receive £100 to assist with the costs of guest speakers at their monthly meetings and their Christmas party.
Mansion House Preschool Playgroup will receive £100 towards new garden play equipment and building a gazebo.
Vitalise will receive £372 to help fund respite breaks for disabled Corsham residents and their carers.
Cancer Research UK will receive £56.10 towards the costs of holding a fund-raising pampering evening for the ladies of Corsham.
Corsham Rugby Club will receive £450 towards a new scrum machine for its 350 Junior and Senior members.
Katherine Park Residents Association will receive £260 to help with the costs of creating newsletters, posters and stationery to keep residents informed and involved.
Adrian Jones, Chairman of Corsham Rugby Club, is delighted with their grant. "The rugby club and its members are indebted to the Town Council for their support which couldn't have come at a better time as the players are about to embark on yet another season. We were thrilled by the news and no doubt the scrum machine will help contribute towards another successful season on the pitch and place Corsham firmly on the map."

ReportIt seems a shame that the older residents of Corsham are not given more help mastering the Internet. I am sure that if they were educated about it this would enable them to shop online, talk to friends on Facebook and generally enrich their lives.
