Corsham Civic Day Photographic Competition

A photographic competition for Corsham Civic Day on June 25th is being held and the Corsham Civic Society are encouraging everyone to enter. "For all ages 5 – 99," stressed a spokesperson for the competition.

Photographs entered into the Corsham Civic Day Photograph Competition must be taken Corsham Community area, which includes Box, Rudloe, Colerne, Corsham, Neston, Gastard and Lacock.
One entry is permitted per person in either colour or black and white. All entries are to be submitted in landscape format and mounted on card. The entrants name, age and address (or school address) is to be put on the back of the mounted photograph.
The subject for photographs differs for the two main age groups. For children, their photograph subject is that of 'My Favourite Place'. The maximum size of mounted photographs is 12" by 9" or 305mm by 230mm. There are two age groups in the children's photograph category, which is Primary School age (5 to 11 eleven years of age) and Secondary School age (12 to 18 years of age).
For adults, the subject of the submitted photographs is 'My Favourite Building'. The maximum size including the mount is 20" by 16" or 500mm by 410mm.
Entries are to be taken or sent to the Corsham Information Centre between June 1st and 10th.
The best 36 pictures will be selected by the judges to be used in a Calendar for 2012. A full display will be available at the Town Hall on Saturday 25th June 2011, Civic Day.

I wonder how many people will submit photos of the Corsham Alms Houses? They're such great buildings after all. I think the Flemish Weaver would make a good photo - it looks real cosy and rustic.
